Your Choices
Monk fruit sweetener, stevia, coconut sugar, or date sugar.
I prefer to use Monk Fruit sweetener.
-Monk fruit sweetener contains no calories or carbohydrates, so it does not raise blood sugar levels. This makes it a suitable option for people managing diabetes or monitoring their sugar intake.
Directions
1. Add 1 cup of dried hibiscus flowers in a large pot, then add 8 cups of water.
2. Bring the hibiscus flowers and water to a boil. Once the water starts boiling, turn off the stove and cover it with the lid to steep. I like to let the hibiscus steep for 10 to 15 minutes. If you make more than a 1/2 gallon, let the hibiscus steep for 15 to 20 minutes.
3. Use a strainer. Place a fine-mesh strainer over a glass pitcher or bowl to remove the hibiscus petals. Note: Let the tea cool off before you us a strainer.
4. Mix in your sweetener of choice.
You can drink it after preparing it or chill it overnight to enhance the flavor.
Enjoy!
