Antoinette Ouattara’s Homemade Granola

INGREDIENTS

6 cups rolled oats

1/4 cup chopped almonds 

1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup or agave

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Coconut oil cooking spray or coconut oil to grease the pan

1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins


Preparation

Preheat oven to 300°.

1.Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Add honey, and almond extract; toss well.

2.Spread mixture evenly onto an 8 x 8 x 1.5 inch baking pan with cooking spray or lightly grease the pan

Bake at 300° for 30 minutes.

3.Cool completely.

4.Lift out of the pan

Store in an airtight container. Serve for breakfast with yogurt and fruit.
